IPTV for beginners: a plain-English starter guide

Never used an IPTV service before? This guide walks through the whole journey, from picking a device and a plan to your first evening of viewing, with the mistakes to avoid along the way.

Step 1: understand what you are buying

A 360 IPTV subscription is access, not hardware. You pay for a period of time (1, 3, 6 or 12 months), receive login details and use them inside a player app on a device you already own. There is no box to wait for and nothing to install by an engineer. If you want the background first, read the "What is IPTV?" page and come back.

Step 2: choose the screen you will watch on most

Start with one device and get it working well before adding others. As a rule of thumb:

  • You have a recent Smart TV: check its app store for an IPTV player first; if there is none, buy a streaming stick.
  • You want the simplest, cheapest route: a Fire TV Stick 4K or an Android TV/Google TV stick plugged into any HDMI port.
  • You are in the Apple ecosystem: an Apple TV 4K is fast and dependable, with players available on the App Store.
  • You mostly watch on the move: a phone or tablet player works well on Wi-Fi; mobile data goes quickly.

The compatible devices page lists each option with its own guide.

Step 3: check your internet connection

You do not need the fastest broadband available, but you do need a steady one. Two habits make the biggest difference: connect televisions and boxes with an Ethernet cable where you can, and keep Wi-Fi devices reasonably close to the router. If your household streams on several screens at once, a faster package helps, but stability matters more than headline speed.

Step 4: pick a plan length

If you are new, the 1-month plan is a sensible way to confirm that everything works on your device and connection. Once you are happy, longer plans lower the monthly equivalent cost and mean fewer renewals. All plans include the same content categories and device compatibility.

1 Month $12.99
3 Months $29.99
6 Months $49.99
12 Months $69.99

Step 5: order and receive your details

Choose a plan on the plans page. Where an online checkout is available the button takes you there; otherwise it opens a WhatsApp chat with your plan already mentioned, and the team confirms payment options with you. After your order is confirmed you receive setup details: either an M3U playlist link or an Xtream-style login. Save them somewhere safe and never share them.

Step 6: install a player and enter your details

Follow the installation guide for your device. The process is the same everywhere: install a compatible player, choose the login type that matches what you were sent, type or paste the details exactly, and wait for the channel list to load.

Step 7: make it comfortable to use

  • Hide categories you never watch so the list is shorter.
  • Mark favourites so your regular channels are at the top.
  • Let the programme guide finish downloading before judging it; the first load takes a few minutes.
  • Note your subscription end date so renewal is not a surprise.

Mistakes beginners make

  • Typing details by hand. One wrong character means a failed login. Paste wherever the player allows it, or use a phone keyboard app for your TV.
  • Blaming the subscription for buffering. Most buffering is Wi-Fi or an overloaded device. Test with a cable before anything else.
  • Using a VPN during setup. VPN routing can slow streams and confuse some players. Switch it off while you test.
  • Sharing login details. Plans include a set number of connections; sharing details breaks the terms and can lock you out.

Where to get help

The support page has a checklist for the common problems, and the team is on WhatsApp. Send your device model, the player name and a screenshot and you will get a specific answer rather than a generic one.
